Since joining Lowenstein Sharp in 1985, Evan Lowenstein has built up a formidable stable of younger and mid-career artists. Evan has extended his relationship from a professional association to a personal one.

Not only is he an avid collector of art, but he is also represented on a number of organisations for visual and performing artists. Among these (current and former positions) are: Gertrude Street Artist Spaces, the Centre for Contemporary Photography, National Association for the Visual Arts, Theatreworks and past involvement with Lucy Guerin Inc as Treasurer, a Director of Australian Artists Association Inc. and he is currently Treasurer of Westspace Inc., and the Ngarinyin Aboriginal Corporation Inc.

He also lectures at major Art Schools and Universities on the
subject of taxation and the arts to new graduates and academics
alike. Evan graduated from Monash University in 1983 with a
Degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting.
